Veneer

Veneers and engineered veneers encompass a range of materials, including raw wood, prefinished veneers with HPL-style backers, and low-value woods reconstructed to mimic exotic species or to create geometric designs.

Definition: Some materials in the latter category a created by slicing thin layers from low-value trees, recombining them into multi-ply panels and resliced, resulting in veneers that convincingly mimic high-character species like Birdseye Maple and zebrano.

Applications: High-end residential, commercial, retail and hospitality interiors; premium furniture and fixtures. Often combined with matching laminate materials on higher wear surfaces.
