Definition: Engineered veneers encompass a range of materials, from fine veneers modified with performance backing for durability as well as ease of handling and application, to fast-growing low-value species that are engineered to look like rare veneers or geometric designs.
Materials in the latter category a created by slicing thin layers from low-value trees, recombining them into multi-ply panels over undulating press plates and resliced, which results in veneers that convincingly mimic high-character species like Birdseye Maple.
Applications: Anywhere traditional veneers are used, including retail environments, hospitality, office furniture, etc.
