Definition: Decorative metals are engineered for different levels of performance and ease of handling. Some are literally thin sheets of solid metal, while others are are thin metal foils bonded to HPL or TFM substrates. Available finishes are almost unlimited, including high gloss, copper, patina, and brushed effects. Some decorative metals carry surface finishes durable enough to withstand typical work surface wear; others are recommended for vertical applications only.
